Alberta Premium was named "Canadian Whisky of the Year" in Jim Murray's 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 Whisky Bibles. This year, Alberta Premium Cask Strength also received Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition .
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Soft florals with rose water, lilac, mint, and vanilla, plus toasted hazelnut and a hint of smoke; heat is well restrained.
Palate: Bold spicy chocolate bursts with vibrant flavors of black tea, peppercorn, eucalyptus, and pronounced rye spice, creating a savory profile.
Finish: Long and lingering, the finish softens quickly, leaving cherry, vanilla, and wood spice with a tingling rye sensation.
