Their story
Antipodes water comes from Whakatāne, on the Bay of Plenty coast of New Zealand's North Island. The company is owned by restaurateur Simon Woolley and a group of partners from advertising, and its bottling plant was built in 2007.
The water is drawn from an aquifer more than 300 meters underground, where it rests for around 50 years before rising under its own pressure.
How it's made
The water filters through volcanic ignimbrite rock before it surfaces, then is micro-filtered again on site. It is bottled in New Zealand-made glass containing about half recycled glass, as both still and sparkling.
Why we carry them
We like Antipodes for the dinner table: clean, soft and handsome in its glass bottle. The sparkling has fine, gentle bubbles.
