Their story
Golden Rule Spirits is a family-owned San Francisco company started in 2017 by cousins James Mauk and Hunter Sprole, who came up working in bars and restaurants. They set out to put the kind of cocktail they would serve across a bar into a can.
The lineup includes a Margarita, an Old Fashioned, an Espresso Martini and a Tequila Paloma added in 2022.
How it's made
The drinks come in small 100 mL cans, poured at a higher strength instead of being diluted or carbonated, so you can sip them straight or top them with sparkling water. The Paloma uses 100% agave tequila and the brand's own grapefruit liqueur made with Rio Red grapefruit and lime juice.
