Their story
Ritual Coffee Roasters was founded in San Francisco in 2005 by Eileen Hassi Rinaldi. It became one of the early names in the city's third-wave coffee movement, alongside peers like Blue Bottle and Four Barrel.
Ritual grew to a handful of cafes in San Francisco and Napa and sells its coffee wholesale. In 2025 it closed its Haight Street cafe after nine years in the neighborhood.
How it's made
Ritual roasts its own coffee in San Francisco and sells the beans in its cafes, online and to wholesale partners. It has also released a canned coffee made in partnership with Juanita More.
