Their story

A Tribute to Grace is the label of Angela Osborne, a winemaker from New Zealand who moved to California in 2006. She named it after her grandmother, Grace, and after the quality she values most in people and in wine.

The label itself has a story. On her first Thanksgiving in California, Angela wrote the word grace in the sand at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, and a friend, Nicole Sykes, turned it into the artwork, framed by Queen Anne's lace.

Angela bought her first Grenache in 2007 from Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard, a high-desert site far inland from the Pacific, and Grenache has remained her focus ever since.

How it's made

Angela works almost entirely with Grenache, sourcing from Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard and sites such as Shake Ridge Ranch, Besson and Thompson. The farming she works with follows biodynamic principles, and she aims to stay as close to nature as possible in the cellar. The lineup includes red Grenache, Grenache Blanc, rosé and a blanc de noirs.

Why we carry them

We think these wines show how light, fragrant and pretty Grenache can be. They're a great pick for anyone who loves Pinot Noir and wants to try something new.
