Their story

Calirosa is a partnership between musician Adam Levine, model Behati Prinsloo and the Real family, tequila makers in Jalisco who have been aging spirits in wine barrels for more than 80 years. The name nods to both halves of the story: California, where the couple lives, and rosa, the pink tint the tequila picks up in the barrel.

The brand launched in the United States in July 2021 with two bottlings, a Rosa Blanco and an Añejo. In October 2024, Amass Brands Group acquired Calirosa, keeping the existing team in place while adding its own distribution and marketing reach.

How it's made

Calirosa starts with Blue Weber agave from Jalisco. The tequila then goes into red wine barrels sourced from California, a technique the Real family developed. The Rosa Blanco rests about 30 days, enough to pick up a pale pink color and soft fruit, while the Añejo spends 18 months in barrel.

Why we carry them

We like the Rosa Blanco for anyone curious about how wine barrels change tequila. It is a gentle sipper and makes a pretty Paloma.
