Their story
Chareau is the work of Kurt Charron, who launched the brand in Los Angeles in April 2013. His idea was a spirit that tasted like California's farms and gardens, built around a plant most people know from the medicine cabinet: aloe.
The liqueur caught on with bartenders looking for something fresh and green, and in 2023 the company marked ten years with a lighter glass bottle meant to cut packaging waste.
Chareau is made at the company's own distillery in Southern California.
How it's made
Aloe, cucumber, muskmelon, spearmint and lemon peel come from local California farms. They are combined with eau de vie, sugar and water, with no artificial colors or flavors. Each bottle is produced at the brand's Southern California distillery.

Created using only native California ingredients from a base of eau-de-vie plus aloe vera, cucumber, spearmint, and lemon peel. Incredibly elegant.

Why we carry them
We love Chareau in a spritz or a gin drink when we want something cool and garden-fresh. It is unlike anything else on the back bar.
