Their story
Park began in 1990 as a young cognac company started by Dominic Park. In 2009 it was taken over by the Tessendier family, who have deep roots in the region and own the Domaine du Buisson vineyards in the Borderies, the smallest of Cognac's growing areas.
Jérôme and Lilian Tessendier run the family business today, and began bottling under their own labels in 2005. They operate distilleries in Jarnac and Saintes and an office in the town of Cognac.
How it's made
The Tessendiers distill their own eaux-de-vie and buy from other growers, keeping stocks from all six Cognac crus. The Park range runs from VS and VSOP through XO and Extra, plus a single-cru Borderies bottling and a Borderies cognac finished in Japanese Mizunara oak.
Why we carry them
Park is a family-run alternative to the big cognac houses, and the Borderies bottlings show off a floral side of the region. The Mizunara finish is a good pick for whisky drinkers.
