Their story
Copper Cane is the company led by Joe Wagner, of the Napa Valley Wagner wine family, who was best known before this for creating Meiomi, which sold to Constellation Brands in 2015.
Its wine brands include Belle Glos, Elouan, Böen, Quilt and Steorra. Beyond wine, the company began making cider from Sonoma apples and moved into spirits, starting with apple brandy and planning grape brandy, bourbon, rye and gin.
How it's made
Copper Cane's wines are made in Napa Valley, with production plans for a larger facility on Mare Island in Vallejo. Its first spirits, apple brandies, were made in partnership with Do Good Distillery in Modesto.
