Their story

Dark Arts Whiskey House was founded in Lexington, Kentucky, in 2023 by Macaulay Minton and David Peet, who serves as CEO. Its home is on Manchester Street in the city's Distillery District, where visitors can see the work up close.

The company set out to experiment with the parts of whiskey-making that happen after the still, using blending, re-barreling and finishing to build new flavors.

In 2025 it began producing and joined the Kentucky Distillers' Association as a craft member.

How it's made

Dark Arts blends, re-barrels and finishes bourbon, rye and single malt, using underused maturation methods and unusual barrels. Each barrel holds a custom blend released in limited quantities.

It's an honor to stand among the finest in the industry as a new member of the KDA.
