Their story
Adam Dick and Dustin Taylor spent their early working lives building boats and doing woodworking and carpentry in Humboldt County. A video about how chocolate is made caught their interest, and they set about teaching themselves to turn cacao beans into bars.
They now run a small factory in Eureka, making single-origin bars from beans grown in places like Belize, Brazil, Peru, and Madagascar. Alongside the bars they make inclusion bars and chocolate-coated almonds and cherries.
The craftsman background still shows in the details, from their custom-designed molds to their printed wrappers.
How it's made
Their core bars contain only two ingredients, cocoa beans and cane sugar, with no added cocoa butter, lecithin, or vanilla. They work with farms and suppliers they know, and handle the full bean-to-bar process in house, which takes about a month from beans to finished bar.

Why we carry them
With nothing but beans and sugar, each bar tastes clearly of where the cacao was grown. We think a side-by-side tasting of two origins is the best way to see why.
