- Arandas, Jalisco
Their story
Don Nacho is a family-owned tequila made in Arandas, in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco. The company is led by Ignacio Hernández Gutiérrez, known as Don Nacho, who has spent more than two decades growing agave.
The distillery, Fábrica de Tequila Don Nacho (NOM 1508), sits on a large property on the Jalisco plateau, close to the agave fields the family is known for in the region.
How it's made
Don Nacho is made from 100% agave grown in the Arandas highlands. The tequila is double distilled in a stainless steel pot still, and the blanco is bottled at 40% ABV.
Why we carry them
We like Don Nacho as a smooth, fruity highlands tequila from a family of agave growers, and it is an easy pour for sipping or mixing.
