Their story
Drake's Brewing Co. is an East Bay brewery based in San Leandro, just south of Oakland. It began in 1989 as the successor to Roger Lind's Lind Brewing Company.
The brewery was later sold to the owners of Berkeley's Triple Rock brewpub, and John Martin remains an owner today. Drake's made its name with hop-forward beers: its IPA won gold at the Great American Beer Festival in 2002, and the Denogginizer double IPA took silver there in 2009.
In 2023 Drake's acquired the recipes and brand rights of Sonoma County's Bear Republic Brewing.
How it's made
Drake's brews in San Leandro with a focus on West Coast IPAs and hop-forward ales, alongside a rotating range of other styles. Since 2023 it has also brewed Bear Republic's recipes.
Why we carry them
Drake's is a Bay Area classic and a reliable pick for anyone who loves a clean, hop-forward West Coast IPA.
