Their story
El Cristiano is made in the Jalisco Highlands with the Aceves family, third-generation tequila makers in the Arandas area. The brand's founders, including Christian Navarro and Bill Shafer, came to it with decades of combined experience in the spirits trade.
The brand ties itself closely to the town where its tequila is made. A share of every bottle sold goes to the Arandas orphanage, the local public schools and a youth soccer club. In 2025 the line grew beyond tequila with a joven mezcal from Oaxaca.
How it's made
The tequila starts with Highland agave grown at least five years before harvest. It is distilled in copper pots using the family's traditional methods, made without additives, and the aged expressions rest in American oak barrels.
Why we carry them
We like El Cristiano for its clean, additive-free approach and the way it gives back to Arandas. The blanco is a good benchmark for Highland agave flavor.
