Their story

Feve Artisan Chocolatier is the work of Shawn Williams, who trained under chocolatier Ewald Notter and makes his confections in a kitchen in San Francisco's Bayview neighborhood. He approaches chocolate the way a chef approaches a menu.

After years working quietly, Williams rebranded the business around 2012 with help from new investors and a community loan, adding equipment and the black boxes now seen in Bay Area shops.

How it's made

Nuts are roasted deeply, coated in a thin layer of caramelized sugar and then panned in dark chocolate. The salted caramels have thin chocolate shells around soft, nearly liquid centers, and truffles are enrobed by machine and finished by hand.

I come to chocolates with a chef's mind,

Why we carry them

We love supporting a San Francisco chocolatier, and Feve's salted caramels are hard to beat. A great local gift.
