Their story
Fieldwork started when Barry Braden, who had worked in Silicon Valley business development, met brewer Alex Tweet at a bottle share. Tweet had brewed at Ballast Point and Modern Times, and the two opened Fieldwork in Berkeley in 2015.
Rather than build around a fixed set of flagships, they kept the tap list rotating and brewed hundreds of different beers in their first few years. The brewery grew through a network of taprooms across Northern California and has since opened its first San Francisco locations, near Oracle Park and at Mission Rock.
How it's made
All of Fieldwork's beer is brewed in Berkeley. The beers are unfiltered, and the team aims to get each one served soon after kegging. A typical lineup covers a lager, a pale ale, several IPAs, a dark beer and the occasional sour.

Pulp IPA (16OZ)

The abundance of Citra hops creates an aromatic bombardment that smells like a Sunday drive through a citrus orchard in peak of season; with notes of fresh squeezed orange juice, lemonhead candies.

Why we carry them
Fieldwork is a hometown favorite for hazy IPAs and crisp lagers alike. Because the lineup keeps moving, there is usually something new to try each time we restock.
