Their story
Hendrick's Gin is made in Girvan, on the Ayrshire coast about an hour southwest of Glasgow, by William Grant & Sons, the family-run Scottish distiller behind Glenfiddich and The Balvenie. Its recipe was created by master distiller Lesley Gracie, who still develops new flavors for the brand.
The gin first launched in the United States in 1999, reached the U.K. a few years later and then spread around the world. Today it is produced at the Hendrick's Gin Palace, a distillery and research space at the company's Girvan site.
How it's made
Eleven botanicals go into the distillation. After distilling, essences of cucumber and rose are added to the finished spirit, giving Hendrick's its soft, floral profile. Limited editions have explored other botanicals over the years.

We keep Hendrick's around because it makes a great gin and tonic with nothing more than a slice of cucumber. It is also a friendly gin for people who think they do not like gin.
