Their story

Knob Creek was created in 1992 by Booker Noe, the sixth-generation Beam master distiller, as part of the Small Batch Bourbon Collection. He wanted to bring back the bigger, richer bourbons made before Prohibition.

The name comes from Knob Creek in Kentucky, near the Beam distilleries, where Abraham Lincoln's family once farmed. Booker's son Fred Noe now carries on as master distiller in Clermont.

Knob Creek is part of Suntory Global Spirits, the company formerly known as Beam Suntory.

How it's made

Knob Creek starts with the Jim Beam mash bill, distilled to a lower proof and aged for at least nine years. The flagship small batch is bottled at 100 proof, with higher-proof and rye versions alongside.
