Their story

WS Game Company was started in April 2000 by Dana Silva and Michael Doyle, who each spent more than 20 years at Parker Brothers and Milton Bradley. Their first licensed products were furniture pieces with board games built in.

In 2010 the company became an official Hasbro tabletop licensee, making upgraded versions of Scrabble, Monopoly, Clue, Sorry! and chess. Dana's children, Kerry Addis and Jonathan Silva, joined around that time and took over as owners in 2019, keeping it a family business.

How it's made

Kerry Addis, who trained in graphic and industrial design, leads product development. Many sets use wood cabinets, while others come in tins or fabric-wrapped book boxes meant to sit on a shelf. Details like rotating Scrabble boards with raised grids focus on storage and better play.

Why we carry them

We like these for hosts and gift givers; the bookshelf editions look good on a shelf and still get pulled out for game night.
