Their story
Zulay Kitchen was started in 2015 by Aaron and Whitney Cordovez as a side project built around a single kitchen product. It began in California and later moved to Pinellas County, Florida.
The line has since grown into a wide range of everyday tools, from garlic presses and spatulas to the lemon squeezer that many customers know the brand for. Whitney, a mother of four, still puts new designs through their paces in her own kitchen.
How it's made
Each product starts with customer reviews, which the team reads to find what frustrates people about existing tools. A group of designers then works through the shape, materials and handling before anything goes to market, with Whitney's daily use as the final test.
