Lochlea is a new Lowland distillery developed by famous Master Distiller John Campbell, who recently moved there from Islay after running Laphroaig for 20 years.
Field-to-bottle, Lochlea farm the barley used for their whiskey and malt in on-site. ‘Our Barley’ is matured in a combination of Bourbon, Sherry, and STR Casks to add a whole new level of depth and complexity to the final whisky.
NOSE: Pear Syrup, Fruit Bon Bons, Warm Cut Grass, Marmalade
PALATE: Golden Syrup, Pepper, Rye Bread, Macadamia Nuts
FINISH: Long finish with a lasting orange beeswax note
