Crafted at Japan’s highest distillery, the Shinshu Mars Distillery, nestled in the Central Alps of the Nagano region, 'Mars Maltage: Cosmo' is a meticulously blended malt whisky. Combining whisky produced at the distillery with select imported Scottish single malts, this blend offers a smooth yet complex character. This whisky was first introduced at the 2015 Tokyo International Bar Show, quickly becoming a favorite for its rich, elegant profile. Named after the nearby Cosmo mountain, it exemplifies the fusion of Japanese craftsmanship and Scottish heritage, creating a harmonious, refined whisky.

A vatting of whiskies distilled from 100% malted barley; aged primarily in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in ex-Manzanilla sherry casks and bottled at 42% ABV.

A nose of red apple skin, chocolate malt, crème caramel, and raisin leads to a floral and dry palate with a lightly salty edge that leans into a finish of clove complemented by baked apples and currants.
