Their story
A L'Olivier began in 1822 with a single stall in the Marais in Paris. Its founder, Monsieur Popelin, was a pharmacist who set up shop selling olive oil to Parisians.
The business grew steadily through the 1800s, winning medals at the Paris universal exhibitions of 1867 and 1889 and branching out into other oils. Over two centuries it became a French specialist in quality oils, later adding flavored vinegars and infused oils.
The brand is known for its ceramic crocks and tins, and its 1822 Collection nods to the year it all started.
How it's made
A L'Olivier selects extra virgin olive oils and specialty nut and seed oils, and builds a range of infused oils and fruit vinegars around them. Many products are packed in its signature stoneware crocks and decorated tins.
Why we carry them
We love A L'Olivier for its fruit vinegars and infused oils, which make an easy vinaigrette taste special. The crocks and tins also make a lovely gift.
