Their story
Agostino Recca is a Sicilian fish company that began as a small family business in the 1930s. For four generations the Recca family has worked with fish from the Mediterranean, and the company grew to become one of Italy's larger packers of preserved fish.
The brand is best known for its anchovies, sold packed in salt or in olive oil, and it has long been a favorite in Italian kitchens and specialty shops abroad.
How it's made
Recca works only with fish from the Mediterranean and processes it using traditional methods. Its range includes anchovies in salt and in olive oil, colatura, a seasoning made from anchovy juice, and Mediterranean tuna.
