Their story

Amass launched in Los Angeles in 2019, founded by Mark Thomas Lynn, who earlier co-founded the wine club Winc. The first release was a dry gin crafted with distiller Morgan McLachlan and inspired by the plants and produce of Southern California.

The idea was a brand that would move from city to city, working with local distillers on small batches. Since then Amass has grown into a wider drinks group, adding a non-alcoholic spirit called Riverine, ready-to-drink cocktails and other brands.

In early 2023 the company bought the operating assets of Winc, bringing a set of wine labels into the group.

How it's made

The Los Angeles dry gin uses 29 botanicals, including two kinds of mushroom, makrut lime leaf, sarsaparilla and hibiscus, and was first distilled in a copper pot still. Later versions highlight botanicals such as ashwagandha and reishi.
