Their story
Ca' La Bionda is a family estate in Marano di Valpolicella, in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico zone north of Verona. The Castellani family has made wine here since 1902, and brothers Alessandro and Nicola Castellani, the fourth generation, run it today.
The family began working organically in 2000 and earned organic certification in 2012. Their range runs from everyday Valpolicella Classico to Ripasso and Amarone, including bottlings from the Ravazzol vineyard.
How it's made
The estate farms about 29 hectares on hillsides between 150 and 300 meters, without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers. Grapes from these slopes go into Valpolicella, Ripasso, and Amarone made from dried grapes.
Our featured pick
Valpolicella Classico (750ML)
$27.00
Fresh and elegant Valpolicella with wild strawberry, blueberry, cranberry and savory herbs. Bright minerality and lively acidity make this a light, versatile Italian red for everyday drinking.

Why we carry them
We like Ca' La Bionda for Valpolicella with real freshness and character. The Classico is a perfect weeknight red, and the Amarone is worth saving for a special dinner.
