Their story
Château de Millet lies in the hills around Eauze, in Bas-Armagnac. Founded in 1890, it has passed through five generations of the Dèche family. Francis and Lydie Dèche run it today with their daughter Laurence.
The family farms about 90 hectares on sandy clay and the tawny sands that Bas-Armagnac is known for. Alongside Armagnac, they make Côtes de Gascogne wines and Floc de Gascogne, the local aperitif of grape juice and young Armagnac.
How it's made
The estate pairs traditional winemaking with a modern cellar built in 2015. Its vineyards earned HVE level 3 certification, France's high environmental value standard, in 2018.
