Their story
Delta Wines, also called Delta Wines for Change, is a California label from husband and wife Matt and Alexis Iaconis. The couple started it after several years spent building their Brick & Mortar winery.
The project focuses on approachable bottlings such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with Elliot Davis handling winemaking and production alongside Matt.
How it's made
The Pinot Noir comes from cool-climate vineyards in Mendocino County. It ferments with native yeast and ages in a mix of new and neutral barrels, with new oak kept in check. The team also chooses lighter glass bottles to cut down on weight.
Why we carry them
Delta is a nice pick when you want a fresh, easygoing California Pinot Noir from people paying attention to how it is made. We like that the lighter bottle is part of the plan.
