Their story

Domaine Les Rocailles is a Savoie estate in Les Marches, founded just after World War II by the Boniface family, with Pierre Boniface long its best-known face.

The domaine stayed with the family for decades and was sold in 2006 to two childhood friends from Grenoble, Alban Thouroude and Guillaume Durand. It covers about 23 hectares.

How it's made

The estate makes the classic wines of Savoie: Apremont, Roussette, Chignin-Bergeron and red Mondeuse, plus a traditional-method sparkling wine and a late-harvest bottling. The Mondeuse Prestige spends about a year aging before release.

Why we carry them

Savoie wines are made for the mountain table, and we reach for Les Rocailles with fondue, raclette and anything with melted cheese.
