Their story
Drizzle Honey was started in Calgary in 2015 by Aja Horsley, who studied environmental science at the University of Lethbridge and later researched rooftop beehives at SAIT.
She noticed that much of the honey on Canadian grocery shelves was imported, sometimes at prices that undercut local beekeepers, and set out to offer an Alberta alternative. Horsley harvested the first honey herself before partnering with beekeepers, including a honey farm in Northern Alberta, and she still keeps backyard hives.
How it's made
Drizzle sources its honey from beekeeping partners in Alberta and packs it in recyclable glass jars. The company reuses shipping materials when it can and keeps printing to a minimum.
