Their story
End of Days Distillery is run by Shane and Beth Faulkner in Wilmington, North Carolina, out of a restored World War II-era Quonset hut. The name comes from evenings spent around a campfire with family and friends, looking back on the day over a good drink.
The distillery opened in February 2020 and now makes gin, vodka, rum and whiskey. It also produces Castillo 1815, a blue agave spirit made from Jalisco agave and distilled in Wilmington.
How it's made
Spirits are made in small batches on pot stills, using traditional fermentation and a range of yeast strains. Where they can, the team uses North Carolina ingredients such as grain from Riverbend Malt House in Asheville, and they reuse cooling water and send spent grain to a nearby farm as feed.
Simply put, at the end of the day, we celebrate the day.
Why we carry them
We like End of Days for its North Carolina roots and careful small-batch approach. The rum is a good one for a daiquiri.
