Filthy Foods
Bar-grade cocktail cherries, olives and mixers from a Miami family business.

- Daniel Singer, Marc Singer

- Miami, Florida
Their story
Filthy is the work of brothers Daniel and Marc Singer. Daniel was born in England and trained as an actor before turning to garnishes, and the business found its first fans in Miami Beach, where bartenders at the Living Room in the W Hotel put it on the bar.
The company started selling through liquor distributors in 2012 and spread through word of mouth, with Daniel visiting bartenders one by one. Its cherry became the first garnish nominated for a Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Award. Today Filthy is based in Miami and makes cocktail garnishes and mixers.
How it's made
The brothers source wild amarena cherries from the Bologna area of Italy and slow-cook them in copper pots for a sweet start and a tart finish. For olives they settled on a coastal Greek variety and cure it without lye, which they believe dulls flavor and texture.
Being an entrepreneur is the most uncertain life you can offer your family.
Why we carry them
A Filthy cherry turns a home Manhattan into something that tastes like it came from a good bar. Keep a jar of the olives nearby for martini night.
