The south-facing vineyard of Château de la Ramée overlooks the confluence of the Sèvre and Maine rivers. 'Sur Lie', when seen on a Muscadet label, means the wine has been matured on the fermentation lees for a period of time and is then bottled directly off the lees with no prior racking.
