Date Better Snacks was started by Michelle Valdez-Wilton, a pastry chef who also opened the Eagle Rock restaurants Four Cafe and Penny Oven in Los Angeles. Like many food businesses, it began at home during the pandemic.

- Nose: Rich aroma of dark chocolate with nutty undertones from peanut butter and cacao nibs.
- Palate: A creamy, crunchy combination of smooth peanut butter, bitter cacao nibs, and the natural sweetness of Medjool dates, perfectly complemented by the bold taste of dark chocolate.
- Finish: A satisfying, slightly salty finish with lingering dark chocolate and peanut butter notes.
