Their story
Clif Family Winery & Farm was started in 2004 in St. Helena by Gary Erickson and Kit Crawford, the couple behind Clif Bar. Their tasting room, Velo Vino, sits on Main Street in St. Helena and leans into their love of food and cycling.
Alongside the wines, the family runs a certified organic farm that supplies their Bruschetteria food truck, a farmers market stand and a line of preserved fruits and vegetables.
How it's made
Estate wines come from organically farmed vineyards on Howell Mountain in Napa Valley, with additional fruit bought from small family vineyards elsewhere in Napa and in Mendocino. The farm is CCOF certified organic and grows the produce for the family's food products.
