Their story
Hotpot Queen is a Spokane, Washington brand started by Jia Liang, who grew up in Chongqing. In 1982 her mother opened Little Swan, a tiny hot pot restaurant with room for about three tables, and became known locally as the "Queen of Hotpot."
The restaurant's mala hot pot has stayed spicy for more than four decades. Jia brought those family flavors to the U.S., building a line of Sichuan-style chili sauces, hot pot bases, and noodles so people can cook them at home.
How it's made
The line draws on the numbing, spicy mala style of Chongqing hot pot, built on chilies and Sichuan peppercorns. Products include chili sauces like a wild mushroom chili crisp, hot pot kits, and spicy ramen.
Our featured pick
Spicy Hotpot Noodles (5.15OZ)
$7.00
A deliciously numbing, easy-to-make mala experience perfect for those tormented by cooking fatigue and desiring a revitalizing explosion of flavor.
Why we carry them
We like Hotpot Queen for anyone who loves real Sichuan heat. The wild mushroom chili sauce is great spooned over noodles, rice, or eggs.
